My wife and I visited Ireland for the first time in April, 2013. The first stop in Ireland was Dublin. This is also where we stayed for the majority of our visit. The visit to Dublin included the Temple Bar area, walking along Grafton Street, a visit to The Old Jameson Distillery, a visit to the Guinness Storehouse, my wife getting her first tattoo at Dublin Ink, The Brazen Head Pub, and The Old Library and the Book of Kells Exhibition at Trinity College.
Despite what the website for the Trinity College says, photography IS allowed in the long room as long as you don’t use a flash.
