In the fall of 2012, I ran across a car show in western Maryland (Oakland). You had your standard Mustangs, GTOs, Camaros, etc, but one car in particular stood out.  A yellow kit car known as a “Sterling”.  I’d never seen one of these before, but it was awesome!  I tried to capture the car’s unique and aggressive qualities using different angles.  Also cool at this show (and parked right behind the Sterling) was an actual REO Speedwagon.  These photos were all taken with a Canon 5D Mark II and the 24-70mm EF 2.8

All of these photos begged for the Clarity, Contrast, and Vibrance sliders in Lightroom and it was a lot of fun processing them.  Working with those sliders gives the photos an almost HDR look.  If you want to give it a try, fire up Lightroom (this was done in Lightroom 4) and go in the Develop module.  Boost the contrast, really crush the highlights and boost the shadows.  Then use the Clarity slider and watch the magic happen.  Enjoy!
