I visited Vermont hoping to get some shots of fall leaves, but the best shots I ended up getting were of this sunset over Lake Champlain, shot in Burlington, Vermont. There’s an area along the docks in Burlington that allows you to walk near the water (or even go right up to it if you want). On the shots of the sailboat, I swear the guy sailing the boat saw all the photographers lined up and decided to give us something more interesting to shoot. He slowly made his way across our field of vision, sailed about 200 yards, then turned right back around. Maybe he was just out for a quick sunset cruise, but it sure did seem like he was doing it for our benefit. Either way, I appreciated it. His sailboat added that missing element and made a random sunset photo a lot more interesting to look at. All photos were shot with a Canon 5D Mark II with a Canon  EF 24-700mm f/2.8 lens. Enjoy the photos!
