In April 2013, I traveled to Albany, Oregon on a business trip with fellow photographer Bobby Snelson. We had a little bit of time after work to explore on a couple of occasions, and the shots below are the result.

Vermont HDR Shots

While on vacation in Vermont, I stopped at a place called the Cold Hollow Cider Mill in Waterbury, VT. There were two vehicles sitting in a field that were begging for some HDR shots to be taken, plus I thought the weather would add to the effect.

A Quick Drive Through Smuggler’s Notch

While on vacation in Vermont, I ran across a place called Smuggler’s Notch. The plan was to hopefully get some nice shots of fall leaves, but it was windy and rainy (I did manage to get a few shots anyway). I decided this would be a cool place to shoot some GoPro video, so I attached the GoPro to the roof using the suction cup mount and shot a few minutes of footage.

Color Me Rad 5K: Morgantown

A good thunderstorm rolled through my area recently, which made me realize that people probably wonder how to get good photos of lightning. This is actually one of the easier things to take photos of, as long as you know what settings to use. And people always flip out when you show them good photos of lightning. So here’s what to do.
